AUTHOR'S PHOTOGRAPHY: APPOINTMENT IN MILAN FOR THE PHOTOFESTIVAL 2017

From April 20 to June 20 will be held in Milan the Photofestival 2017, the event dedicated to copyright photography organized by AIF - Italian Association of Photos & Digital Imaging with the support of the Confcommercio Milan and the Milan Chamber of Commerce and with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan and of the Lombardy Region. Over the years, the event has put on show numerous renowned photographers, but also emerging artists, and has increasingly established itself in the cultural landscape of the city, becoming the most important Milanese exhibition dedicated to photography.

THE 2017 EDITION

The main theme of the 2017 edition of the Photofestival will be "Reality and future - From Milan to the world", a tribute by the organizers to the creative and innovative spirit that characterizes the Lombard capital. The Artistic Direction will be entrusted to Roberto Mutti, critic and professor of photography at the Accademia del Teatro della Scala and the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan. Also this year the organizational structure already successfully tested in the previous edition will be confirmed, with the setting up of a real exhibition circuit that will involve both the historic center of Milan and numerous hinterland realities. The photographic exhibitions planned, in fact, will be organized not only in the main art galleries, museums and exhibition spaces of the city, but also through the collaboration of commercial activities, hotels, clubs and showrooms. The illustrated catalog of the event, which will contain the list of all events on the calendar, will be printed in 30,000 copies in bilingual (Italian and English), and will be distributed free throughout the city to capture the attention not only of fans of the photography but also of the non-expert public and foreign tourists. This year, moreover, Photofestival 2017 will take place in conjunction with the Photo Week (from 5 to 11 June 2017), another major artistic initiative dedicated to photography organized by the City of Milan to broaden the range of cultural opportunities made available from the city. The final two-month program of Photofestival 2017 will be available on the website www.milanophotofestival.it
